Microscope stage assembly for reviewing basic microscope structure, has two engagement units for interchangeable microscope stage drive mechanism at respective locations on microscope stage
The assembly has two engagement units for an interchangeable microscope stage drive mechanism (27) at respective locations on a microscope stage (14). A screw (42) is removed from engagement with a retaining collar (44) and the stage. A friction clutch transfers driving force from stage positioning knobs to the stage. The clutch has a plunger head and a driving pulley that are arranged to engage one another.
