摘要
A molten metal converter or arc furnace has a tapping pipe that discharges to e.g. a steel extrusion assembly. The discharge passage geometry conforms to the mathematical formula: A(y) = A ( ( (h1 + hk) / (h1 + hk) -y] where A is the cross sectional area of the passage in m2; h1 is the depth of the molten metal in the vessel; hk is the length of the tapping pipe; y is the distance between a given point in the tapping pipe and the end of the tapping pipe.
