The model based system for a process uses a PID feedback regulator [12]and a separate feed forward regulator [14].Inputs to the regulators are provided by a model evaluator [30] coupled to a monitor [34] and a status parameter interpolator [32]. These operate in an adaptive cycle to set the regulating parameters.
