A parquet floor has a series of interlocking blocks, each with an upper surface, a lower surface and a surrounding edge with e.g. a tongue and groove joint. The parquet floor is made up of two or more different size and shape of block. Each block bears an indication (3) of the orientation in which it is to be assembled to the adjacent block.
