Laser welding or sheet metal cutting machine has a welding head (11) at the end of a robot arm. The head can move horizontally in two directions and is attached to a vertical stand (1). It is made up of horizontal and vertical tube sections (15 - 20) connected to form three vertical pivots (4 - 6). The laser beam is guided along the tubes to the head by mirrors (7 - 10).
