Method for determining the inclination angle (alpha ) of a vehicle (210) in which height information is determined at two locations and from the information the physical height determined at these two locations. The separation (d) of the two locations is then determined and used with the height difference (delta H) between the two locations to determine the vehicle's longitudinal inclination angle. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for determining a vehicle's inclination angle.
