The device has two sensors (1) for redundant detection of process data, physical and machine states of a process and/or equipment. Two actuators (2) are provided for redundant intervention in the process. A logic-module evaluates the data from the sensors and/or the actuators, and selects the data to be transferred based on the evaluation, where the sensors, actuators and the module are integrated as a component (6). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of process control (B) a system for process control with a process control device.
