Inhibition of allergies caused by e.g. fungal spores and keratin of animal hairs comprises enzymatic (e.g. papain and bromelain) degradation of polypeptides of the causative agents into oligopeptides
Use of an active agent (I) (enzyme) to inhibit allergy due to mite excreta, fungal spores, keratin of animal hair and/or plant pollen and spores, where the enzyme degrades the polypeptide of the mite excreta, fungal spores, keratin of animal hair and/or plant pollen and spores into oligopeptides (mono-, di- or tripeptides) that are non-allergic to humans. ACTIVITY : Antiallergic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
