Internal pressure measurement method for elastic test body, especially for measuring intra-ocular pressure, uses tonometer and comprises initially carrying out reference measurement to determine calibration parameters
A small measuring body (4) is accelerated from a short distance away from a rest position along a pre-determined path in the direction of the test body so that they collide and the measuring body is returned to its rest position. During the measurement process the displacement behavior of the measuring body is determined and is used to determine the internal pressure of the test body. A reference measurement carried out before the measurement of the internal pressure is used to determine calibration parameters for correcting the subsequent measurement of the internal pressure of the test body. An independent claim is also included for a device used for measuring the internal pressure of an elastic test body, especially for measuring the intra-ocular pressure, using a tonometer.
