Method for electrofusion of heterologous cells. Method for electrofusion of heterologous cells comprises: (A) contacting a surface (4), having at least one adhesive strip (5), with cells (6) of the first type; (B) rinsing off any cells that have not adhered to (5); (C) contacting the surface with cells (7) of the second type; (D) applying a voltage to the plane of (5) that is aligned normal to (5); and (E) applying an electrical fusion pulse. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing the new method.
