Method for recovering krypton and xenon from air, comprises separating nitrogen and oxygen and feeding krypton- and xenon-containing fraction into enrichment column, stream of pure air being decompressed and fed into column
Method for recovering krypton and/or xenon by low temperature separation from air comprises feeding a compressed stream of pure air into a rectification column for separating nitrogen and oxygen which comprises a high pressure column and a low pressure column. A krypton- and xenon-containing fraction is fed into the center of a krypton-xenon enrichment column, from which a krypton-xenon concentrate is removed. Method for recovering krypton and/or xenon by low temperature separation from air comprises feeding a compressed stream of pure air (1) into a rectification column for separating nitrogen and oxygen which comprises a high pressure column (2) and a low pressure column (3). A krypton- and xenon-containing fraction (26) is fed into the center of a krypton-xenon enrichment column (24), from which a krypton-xenon concentrate (30) is removed. A second compressed stream of pure air (103) is decompressed (87) and the product (88) fed into the krypton-xenon enrichment column. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for carrying out the method.
