The gully lid (4) at least partially closes a manhole (3), which is open at the top. The lid is height-adjustable and is supported on a fluid-filled expansion body (6) with at least one intake/outlet (8) for the fluid. The expansion body has a hose or outer jacket of elastic material, esp. rubber. It is ring-shaped and has a single fluid chamber, or several separate chambers (7) in peripheral direction of the manhole, with each chamber having its own intake/outlet with associated valve. The fluid is biologically degradable, and is e.g. biological oil or air.
