Method for correcting the sensitivity of an X-ray luminescent recording plate has the following steps: provision of a plate with automatically recognizable markings; generation of a reproducible sensitivity image; generation of an X-ray absorption distribution or raw image and correlation of the pixels of sensitivity and raw-data images so that the markings are superimposed and can be used for intensity correction. An independent claim is made for an X-ray device with means for carrying out sensitivity correction of X-ray luminescent recording plates.
