FIELD: aerospace engineering; ground tests of spacecraft.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for testing different types of electric jet engines and engine plants at base. Proposed method includes mounting of electric jet engine and its balancing on thrust metering device. Device. This done, electric jet is started and testing is carried out with measuring thrust at working parameters of electric jet engine by rotating the engine about geometrical axis at two thrust modes. Thrust is measured at least in two positions of electric jet engine in plane of arrangement of rocker. Device contains rocker installed horizontally and suspended from flexible rod. Mechanism to rotate jet engine around its longitudinal horizontal axis and mounting unit are found on one end of rocker. Said mechanism consists of rotating unit including rotating drive and readout device to check angle of rotation of electric jet engine under testing. Electric jet engine is installed on mounting unit. Other end of rocker carries balancing mass and torque recording device. Turning mechanism of tested engine designed to provide rotation of engine in horizontal plane is arranged between rocker and rotating mechanism.;EFFECT: reduced labor input at testing owing to enlarged functional capabilities of thrust measuring device.;3 cl, 2 dwg
