A copy apparatus having a 180° rotation copy function and a 180° rotation copy method are provided to obtain a 180° rotated copy result by scanning a copy target in response to an instruction of a user and then storing image data in a storage part in reverse order. An input part(110) is provided. A scanning part(130) scans a copy target put on a manuscript stand so as to generate bitmap data. A storage part(140) stores the bitmap data in a memory area allocated to the copy target. When a control part(160) receives a 180° rotation copy instruction, it controls the storage part so that the bitmap data is stored at an address of the memory area in reverse order.
