A kind of method of a Linux systems is loaded on a device application from other equipment, embedded software is reliably updated for remotely updating embedded software and being provided in a remote place, past software is returned to, if a renewal process fails in an embedded system or a mistake is generated in embedded system. One user terminal of the second equipment is connected to an initial update web page, provides from a network server of device by using a web browser (S601). It checks, new software is present in a update server (S602). In the case where new software occurs, the update method for corresponding software is pushed into (S608). Last inspection for updating software recently is performed (S610). In the case where update is judged as successfully being based on a test result, the new files for updating software are copied to an extra file, and the success of renewal process is shown on webpage (S615). In the case where update is unsuccessful situation, system returns to past system, and the failure of renewal process is shown (S620).
