COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR SKIN WHITENING COMPRISING EXTRACT OF EXCOECARIA BICOLOR WHICH INHIBITS ACTIVITY OF TYROSINASE PARTICIPATING IN SKIN DARKENING PATHWAY AND INHIBITS MELANINE FORMATION WITHOUT SKIN STIMULATION AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF EXCOECARIA BICOLOR EXTRACT
PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening comprising the extract of Excoecaria bicolor and a production method of the Excoecaria bicolor extract are provided, which Excoecaria bicolor extract inhibits activity of tyrosinase participating in a skin darkening pathway, and inhibits melanine formation without skin stimulation. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition for skin whitening comprises 0.001 to 10 wt.%, preferably 0.01 to 5 wt.% of the extract of Excoecaria bicolor, wherein the composition has a formulation selected from soft lotion, astringent lotion, nutritive lotion, eye cream, nutritive cream, massage cream, powder, essence, pack, ointment and spray. The method for producing the Excoecaria bicolor extract comprises the steps of: (a) adding one or more solvents selected from C1-4 anhydrous or hydrous lower alcohol, a mixture of water and alcohol, acetone and 1,3-butyleneglycol into the dried Excoecaria bicolor, and heating the mixture at 78 to 200 deg. C for 5 to 24 hours; (b) maturing the Excoecaria bicolor extract at 4 to 15 deg. C for 3 to 20 days; (c) concentrating the matured Excoecaria bicolor extract at 60 to 80 deg. C under reduced pressure, and extracting the concentrated Excoecaria bicolor extract with one or more solvents selected from ethylacetate, diethylether and methylenechloride one or more times; and (d) concentrating an organic layer of the Excoecaria bicolor extract under reduced pressure and drying the concentrated Excoecaria bicolor extract.
