PURPOSE: An electric boiler is provided to improve heat exchange efficiency by increasing heat exchange time by reducing the flow velocity of the water inserted into a heat exchanger and circulating the hot water through plural heat exchangers arranged in a stepped form. CONSTITUTION: An electric boiler is composed of a heat insulating case(100); an energy storage material(170) filled in the case; a circulating pipe(130) for circulating and heating the cold water inserted through a cold water inlet pipe(120) into the energy storage material; plural heat exchangers(400) arranged in multiple stages in the energy storage material to reduce the flow velocity of the hot water by receiving the hot water inserted through the circulating pipe and to heat the hot water in multiple stages; an outlet pipe(160) for discharging the hot water ejected through the heat exchanger of the final stage to the outside; and a temperature sensor(150) and a control unit for sensing temperature of the energy storage material and controlling the power fed to the heat exchanger according to the result.
