AIR CONDITIONER AND A CONTROL METHOD THEREOF FOR EASILY SETTING OPERATION OPTIONS OF INDOOR DEVICES IN REPLACING ALL OR SOME OF CONTROL UNITS OF THE INDOOR DEVICES BY MEMORIZING OPERATION OPTIONS IN A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
PURPOSE: An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to easily set operation conditions of indoor devices by backing up operation options of the indoor devices in an outdoor device and restoring the backup operation options to new control unit after replacing the control unit. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner is composed of a plurality of indoor devices(104a¯104h) having control units, respectively and an outdoor device(102) connected with plural indoor devices through a communication line and a refrigerant pipe to memorize operation conditions set in the control units in replacing the control units of the indoor devices and to restore the operation conditions of the correspondent indoor device to a new control unit after finishing replacing the control unit. The control unit comprises a control unit for the indoor device for controlling operation of the indoor devices and a data memory unit(206) for the indoor device memorizing the operation condition of the indoor devices.
