PURPOSE: A building material using fishery waste and producing method thereof are provided to give a high quality building material having good flame resistance with reduced cost in environmentally friendly way, and to give natural fragrance to the resulted building. CONSTITUTION: The building material comprises 50-80wt% of oyster shell, 1-15wt% of shell of gastropods and 15-35wt% of white stone powder. The building material is produced by removing foreign materials and salts from collected oyster shell and gastropodous shell; removing water from the resulted shells; milling each shell of oyster and gastropods; preparing white stone powder; mixing the milled shell powder and the white stone powder; kneading the resulted mixture with water; and processing the resulted mixture by compressing.
