PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to stably initialize the wall charge state of the discharge cells by two times of the reset operations. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of: setting the wall charges on the discharge space by applying the first reset waveform to the first electrode; and setting the wall charges on the discharge space by applying the second reset waveform to the first electrode after the first waveform. At least one reset waveform among the first and the second reset waveforms is provided with a first period to apply the first voltage to the first electrode so as to discharge the discharge space; and a second period to float the first electrode after the discharge space is discharged. And, the first period and the second period are repeated by a predetermined number.
