PURPOSE: To provide a device which is simply constructed so that the device easily performs installation and operation, accurately measures thermal deformation degree of metal case, determines a cutting area according to measured thermal deformation degree of the metal case and accurately cuts corresponding portion of the metal case. CONSTITUTION: A device for cutting body of molten steel refining furnace comprises a cylindrical main post(120) on an upper part of which a ring for transportation(130) is formed, and to a lower part of which a fixed ring is fixed; a gas distribution housing(122) fixed to the outer circumferential surface of an upper part of the main post and installed in such a way that the gas distribution housing is communicated with a gas hose(150) connected to an external supply source; an operation rod fixed to a part of the outer circumferential surface of the gas distribution housing and connected to the gas distribution housing in a diameter direction thereof in such a way that length of the operation rod is adjustable; a cutting torch(200) attached to an end part of the operation rod and connected to the gas distribution housing by a retractable pipe(124); a pinion installed at an arbitrary position of the operation rod such that the pinion is rotated by a driving motor; a recording plate(210) integrally fixed to an intermediate part of the main post; a recorder fixed to the operation rod and arranged in such a way that the recorder is contacted with a recording paper(212) of the recording plate; an annular rack(220) fixed to the upper surface of the recording plate and engaged with the pinion; and a plurality of supporters(250) which are linked by supporting bars in such a way that the supporters are folded or unfolded by a supporter operating cylinder fixed to a lower part of the main post with being distanced from the main post, which are fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the fixed ring by hinges, and on an end part of which a close adherence element is formed.
