摘要

PURPOSE: A broadcasting/communication integrating system for expanding a subscriber system by using low-priced optical modules is provided to configure an optical channel between a main set top box and a sub set top box and between the sub set top box and other set top box, thereby overcoming a large-scale connector and a large cable caused by parallel data lines. CONSTITUTION: A main set top box(300) receives a signal transmitted from an ONU through a main optical module for data inputting/outputting, applies the received signal to a CDR(Clock and Data Recovery) unit(306) to pass through a data recovery/timing extract process, and applies the signal to a sub optical module, then transmits the signal to sub a set top box(310) through the low-priced sub optical module. A sub set top box(320) is connected with the main set top box(300) and the sub set top box(310), receives the transmitted signal to apply the signal to a CDR unit(326), passes through a data recovery/timing extract process to apply the signal to a low-priced sub optical module, and transmits the signal to other sub set top box.
