摘要

PURPOSE: A distance difference detection method of a navigation system is provided to detect distance difference between a moving target and a link by calculating a width of a road and measuring the distance from the center of the road to the moving target. CONSTITUTION: A main controller determines a present location of a moving target by using location information received through a GPS receiver and a detected signal by a sensor, and reads a start point and an end point of a candidate link according to the present location of the moving target and lane information and road information of the candidate link from a map data storage unit(300-304). A road width of the candidate link is calculated by using the lane information and the road information(306). A distance difference between the candidate link and the moving target is calculated by using the road width, a state of passage in both sides, and the present location of the moving target(308-316).
