METAL NANOCOMPOSITE POWDERS IN WHICH CARBON NANOTUBES ARE UNIFORMLY DISPERSED INTO METAL MATRIX BY DISPERSING, ULTRASONIC TREATMENT, MIXING, ULTRASONIC TREATMENT, DRYING AND CALCINATION AND REDUCTION PROCESSES, AND PREPARATION METHOD
PURPOSE: To provide a metal nanocomposite powder preparation method capable of solving agglomeration problem of carbon nanotubes by uniformly dispersing carbon nanotubes into a metal matrix, and metal nanocomposite powders comprising the carbon nanotubes uniformly dispersed into the metal matrix, the metal nanocomposite powders prepared by the method. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of metal nanocomposite powders in which carbon nanotubes are dispersed into a metal matrix comprises a step(a) of dispersing carbon nanotubes into an appropriate dispersion solvent; a step(b) of ultrasonic treating a solution in which carbon nanotubes are dispersed into the dispersion solvent; a step(c) of uniformly mixing a water soluble metal salt or metal hydrate with the dispersed solution of the step(b), wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, cobalt, iron and tungsten; a step(d) of ultrasonic treating a mixed dispersed solution of the step(c); a step(e) of drying and calcining a dispersed mixed solution of the step(d), wherein the drying process is performed at a temperature of 80 to 100 deg.C, the calcination process is performed at a temperature of about 200 to 350 deg.C at an air atmosphere if the metal matrix is required to be calcined at a temperature of 400 deg.C or less, the calcination process is performed at a temperature of about 400 to 1,700 deg.C under the low vacuum state if the metal matrix is required to be calcined at a temperature of 400 deg.C or more, and a drying process is additionally performed in a temperature range of 300 to 350 deg.C if the metal matrix is required to be calcined at a temperature of 400 deg.C or more; and a step(f) of reducing metal oxide nanocomposite powders prepared in the step(e) at an atmosphere of a reduction gas that is hydrogen gas, CO gas, or CO2 gas.
