PURPOSE: A method of making a functional health food by fermenting black beans(Glycine Semen nigra), laminaria powder and pine needles powder and grinding after drying is provided. The product has synergistic efficacy of soybeans and laminaria and is effective in alleviating hangover, treating osteoporosis in women, reducing cholesterol and improving various adult diseases. CONSTITUTION: Black beans are steamed, inoculated with 0.01 to 20% by weight of Bacillus subtilis and fermented at 45 to 50deg.C in a loess room for 1 to 3 days. The fermented mixture is dried and ground to give functional health food. In the process, 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of laminaria powder, 0.05 to 0.5 parts by weight of pine needles powder are added to 100 parts by weight of black beans.
