DEVICE OF COMPENSATING FOR DISK ECCENTRICITY IN AN OPTICAL DISK SERVO SYSTEM AND A METHOD THEREOF, PARTICULARLY CORRELATED TO PERFORMING AN EXACT ECCENTRICITY COMPENSATION BY REPLACING ECCENTRIC DATA WITH MAPPED REFERENCE SINUSOID WAVE
PURPOSE: A device of compensating for disk eccentricity in an optical disk servo system and a method thereof are provided to replace inputted eccentric data with data mapped with a reference sinusoid wave, thereby detecting an exact eccentric signal and realizing a stable disk servo. CONSTITUTION: A system turns on a focus servo and a tracking servo, and generates focus and tracking error signals(410). The system extracts eccentric components of one period included in the tracking error signal through a feed-forward control module, and stores the extracted components(420,422), then reads eccentric data to measure a frequency, a gain, and a phase(430). If the frequency is detected(432), the system stores a frequency value in a specific register(440). If the gain is detected(442), the system stores a gain value(450). If the phase is detected(452), the system stores a phase value(460). Based on the stored frequency, gain, and phase values, the system maps an original eccentric signal with a reference sinusoid wave(470). The system replaces the original eccentric data with data corresponding to the mapped sinusoid wave(480).
