PURPOSE: A high brightness multi-electrode light emitting diode(LED) chip for illumination is provided to have a high brightness effect by using a multitude of light emitting diodes in one chip. CONSTITUTION: A multitude of triangular light emitting diodes(LEDs) are formed in one quadrangular LED chip. Two or four triangular LEDs are arranged on light emitting surface(Epi surface of P or N type LED). Two triangular LEDs are arranged in one quadrangular LED. The two triangular LEDs format is formed by dividing a light emitting part of one quadrangular chip surface into two on the basis of diagonal line thereof. Four triangular LEDs are arranged within one quadrangular LED. The four triangular LEDs format are formed by dividing a light emitting part of one quadrangular chip surface into four on the basis of two diagonal lines crossing each other.
