PURPOSE: A battery system simulation device is provided to shorten the development time by testing a battery system in a real time basis, and achieve improved reliability of test. CONSTITUTION: A battery system simulation device comprises a battery tester(210), a control computer(212), a master controller(220), and a simulation unit(230). The battery tester tests the charge/discharge state of a battery system(200). The control computer tests the performance of the battery system by supplying control signals for current/temperature/voltage of a battery to the battery tester in accordance with a preset charge/discharge condition of the battery system, and displays the condition of the battery system in accordance with the result of the test. The master controller receives information of an electronic control unit of a battery management system, and controls a simulation test of the battery system. The simulation unit supplies power to the master controller in accordance with a hybrid electric vehicle operation profile applied to a simulation, and permits a hardware of the battery system to be included in a simulation loop so as to simulate the condition of the battery system in a real time basis.
