PURPOSE: An operation control method of a detergent-free washing machine in a failure of a water level sensor is provided to prevent a washing operation from being stopped by the breakdown of a float sensor and to supply washing power of a constant level by keeping the concentration of the water proper. CONSTITUTION: An operation control method of a detergent-free washing machine having a water tank for storing the washing water and service water and having upper and lower float switches and an electrolysis apparatus integrally combined with one side of the water tank is composed of steps for supplying the washing water or the service water into the water tank(S1); storing the sensing time in a non-volatile memory if the lower float switch installed in the water tank senses that the washing water or the service water fed into the water tank reaches a constant water level(S2); deciding if the upper float switch is operated in the constant time from the sensing time by a microcomputer while the washing water or the service water is supplied into the water tank(S3): alerting the microcomputer for the constant time if the upper float switch is not operated(S4); deciding if the washing water or the service water reaches a constant water level by the microcomputer, based on a detection signal transmitted from the upper float switch, when the upper float switch is operated(S5); and cutting off a water supply valve by applying a control signal from the microcomputer to the water supply valve for controlling the supply of the washing water or the service water inward the water tank(S6).
