PURPOSE: A method of producing a bag to cover a fruit by impregnating a paper bag with a mixture of paraffin wax, chlorothalonil and Carnauba wax is provided. The bag has excellent physical properties such as smoothness, tensile strength, stiffness or the like and exhibits a lasting insect repellent effect and antimicrobial effect. CONSTITUTION: The bag to cover a fruit is prepared by the steps of: melting paraffin wax at 140 to 170deg.C; adding flake or powder of chlorothalonil to the melted paraffin wax and agitating; and impregnating a paper bag with the mixture. The paraffin wax is added with 5 to 20% by weight of Carnauba wax, based on the total weight of the paraffin wax.
