PURPOSE: A method for providing a parking lot guidance service through an interworking mobile communication network and a car navigation is provided to promote drivers' convenience and create a supplementary service by providing an optimum parking route guidance service. CONSTITUTION: A specific button of a car navigation system is set to be connected to a parking lot guidance center server(S100). Data of user information, position information and desired parking service information is transmitted to the parking lot guidance center server through a mobile communication network(S110). The parking lot guidance center server reads information on a list of affiliate parking lots near a destination of a driver(S120). Each parking lot affiliate server is requested to check nearby parking lots with respect to the read information on the list of the affiliate parking lots(S130). Parking lot situation information is received from each parking lot affiliate server and an optimum parking lot affiliate for the destination of the driver is selected(S140). A route of the shortest parking available affiliate is calculated between the selected parking lot affiliate server and the car navigation system(S150). The obtained shortest nearby parking information is transmitted to the car navigation system of the driver.
