METHOD FOR PRODUCING CATHODE ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY BY USING COPRECIPITATION AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING THE SAME TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY, CAPACITY AND THERMAL STABILITY OF THE CATHODE MATERIAL, AND PROVIDE HYDROXIDES WITH HIGH DENSITY
PURPOSE: A method for producing a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery using coprecipitation is provided to improve the density, capacity, thermal stability and service life without causing transition to a spinel, thereby obtaining hydroxides with high density and homogeneous size. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery using coprecipitation comprises: preparing hydroxides by a coprecipitation method; mixing the resulted hydroxides with a lithium compound; and sintering the mixture, wherein the resulted cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery has a formula of Li(LiaNibCocMndMe)O2, wherein a+2b+3c+4d+6e=3, a+b+c+d=1, 0=a0.1, 0.5=b1, 0=c0.5, 0.5=d1, 0.01=e=0.1, and M is a transition metal.
