The system has a processing unit for determining information data representative of a set of policy rules, when a control request of initiation of the set of policy rules associated with a service is received. The processing unit determines the data corresponding to a service identifier and searches the information data in managed network equipment (NE). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a management server of a network management system (b) a method for controlling initiation of policy rules, associated with services, in managed equipments of a communications network.
