摘要

This invention is related to a breeding material which can induce wheat hybrids to produce genetically pure diploid plants and a practical method of how to generate pure wheat lines using the material. The mentioned breeding material is a hexaploid triticale. The method is that using pollens from the hexaploid triticale as male parent pollinate emasculated wheat hybrids or their progeny as female parent. All the F1 hybrids from induced female parents are pure diploidy plants. The progeny from the hybrids don't exhibit segregation. This method can efficiently induce the production of pure diploid wheat plants and does not produce haploid plants. The method can fix wheat hybrid vigor or wheat hybrid heterosis, and reduce the breeding period. The method adopts conventional breeding means and doesn't need any expensive chemicals and equipments.
