摘要

The present invention relates to the production of fused beads for determining the platinum group metal content of ceramic powders. The use of a crucible which is free of noble metals and carbon and controlled heating of the material being fused make it possible to produce homogeneous fused beads which allow a measurement accuracy which is five times that achieved using conventional powder pellets employed for this purpose.
