The invention relates to a modular housing of a weapon which comprises thefollowing elements: a weapon housing (1) whichpreferably is produced from plastic and which is not sufficiently rigid due toits dimensions and/or wall thickness, and an inner housing(21) which is firmly supported inside the weapon housing (1). Said innerhousing represents the magazine chamber and at the same timereinforces the weapon housing (1). The inner housing (21) preferably extendsto the front and/or the back (29, 31) of the housing so as toform support elements at the weapon body (1) and/or a housing for the triggersystem. It may also substantially consist of plastic material.
