"BASIC MATERIAL OR OIL BASE LUBRICANT VISCOSITY MODIFIER SOLUTION, ADDITIVE CONCENTRATE, AND METHODS OF PRODUCTING A LUBRICANT, ADDICTIVE CONCENTRATION DEVELOPMENT OF CCC DEFINITION VISCOSITY CCS A LUBRICANT, REDUCING NOACK VOLATILITY FROM A BASE MATERIAL, REDUCING NOACK VOLATILITY FROM A LUBRICANT, IMPROVING A LUBRICANT, AND REDUCING VISCOSITY A SOLUTION MODIFIER SOLUTION ". This invention relates to base materials and base oils, which exhibit an unexpected combination of high viscosity index (130 or greater) and a measured high shear to theoretical / low temperature viscosity ratio at -30 198 C or inferior and methods for its production. Specifically, the present invention relates to low volatility / low viscosity lubricating base materials, lubricating base materials and base oils, formulated lubricating compositions or functional fluids comprising these base materials, and methods for their production. More particularly, this invention relates to the composition of low temperature low viscosity flowability lubricants for SAE OW-XX passenger car engine lubricants (where XX = 40 or less), methods for optimizing the fuel economy using them, and methods or processes for their production.
