"The process to increase the total content of oil in a plant body or a tissue, organ, cell or propagating material of the same, transgenic expression cassette, vector, transgenic.Transgenic plant body or tissue, organ, cell or propagating material of the same, and use of the same.The invention relates to processes to increase the oil content in plants, preferably in seeds of plants by expression of glycerol - 3 - phosphate desidrogenases (G3PDH) of yeast.Preferably the Saccharomyces cerevisiae.The invention also relates to the construction of expression to the expression of the yeast G3PDH in plants, preferably in seeds of plants, transgenic plants expressing G3PDH,And the use of these transgenic plants in the production of food, feed, seed, pharmaceuticals or fine chemicals, especially in the production of oils.
