PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which does not separate an end cap in such measure that the user only touches it though easy of mounting and demounting, in a mounting mechanism to a pipe of an end cap to be set externally freely of mounting and removal to/from the end of a pipe such as a curtain rail or the like. ;SOLUTION: This mechanism has such mechanism that an end cap 10 is mounted in a pipe 15 by setting the inner sleeve 20 fixed to a hollow column 16, set loosely outside the pipe 15, of the end cap 10, into the pipe 15. In this case, the inner sleeve 20 is an elastic synthetic resin molded item, and it is composed of a fixing part 21 fixed to he inner bottom 14 of the hollow column 16, a plurality of support arms 22 extended in the axial direction apart in the circumferential direction from the periphery of the fixing part 21, and forks 23 arranged each between the support arms adjoining each other in the circumferential direction, and both sides of the extension end of the support arm 22 are united with both sides of the center 28 of the fork 23, and for the fork 23, the external face is inclined so that the outside radius on tip side may be small, and one or more projections 24 are made on the tip side more than the center 28 of the fork, and the maximum outside radii of the fork 23 and the projection 24 are made a little larger than the inside diameter of the pipe 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
