PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate and prevent the occurrence of the crevice corrosion of a lining material of a radioactive waste storage pool. SOLUTION: A steady corrosion potential measuring means 200 measures the steady corrosion potential (ESP) of a lining material 120 while a crevice corrosion re-passivation potential measuring means 300 measures the crevice corrosion re-passivation potential (ER.crev ) of the lining material 120. A controller 400 compares the measured values of the steady corrosion potential (ESP) and crevice corrosion re-passivation potential (ER.crev ) of the lining material 120 to estimate whether crevice corrosion is generated in the lining material 120 on the basis of the compared result. On condition that the generation of crevice corrosion in the lining material 120 is estimated, the controller 400 operates a metal piece charging means 500 to charge a metal piece M showing potential baser than the crevice corrosion re-passivation potential (ER.crev ) in a radioactive waste storage pool to bring the same into contact with the lining material 120.
