PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet system wherein an oxide superconductor having a low (n) value of a relational expression with an (n) value is applied between a voltage V generated on a superconducting line and a current I, high temporal stability in which attenuation ration of magnetic field per one hour is at most 10-9 to the whole generated magnetic field is obtained, and a high magnetic field whose magnetic flux density B is at least 22 Tesla (T) can be generated. ;SOLUTION: This permanent current magnet system for generating a high magnetic field consists of a high magnetic field generating part 1 using a superconducting magnet, a power storing part 2 using a superconducting magnet, a superconducting persistent current switch part 3, and a superconducting lead wire 4 which electrically connects them as a closed loop. The high magnetic field generating part 1 consists of a multilayer air-core solenoid coil which involves at least one oxide based superconducting coil as an inner layer coil. In order to cancel attenuation of a current on a closed loop circuit at the time of persistent current mode operation which is caused by fine resistance generated in the oxide superconducting coil part, larger inductance than that of the high magnetic field generating part 1 of the power storing part 2 is applied, and the attenuation factor of a persistent current in the closed loop circuit is set to be at most 10-9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
