PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and automatically assign a crush cymbal and a top cymbal when a drum notating method is estimated. SOLUTION: This method implements a symbol recognition process for recognizing all the symbols of a musical score including musical notes, a notating method applying process for applying a drum notating method of drum parts of the musical score according to the information obtained by the said process, an appearance frequency calculating process for calculating the appearance frequency of the crush cymbal, a threshold value deciding process for deciding whether or not the appearance frequency exceeds a specific threshold value, a reassigning process S112 for reassigning the crush cymbal and top cymbal when it is judged that the threshold value is exceeded, a musical instrument assigning process S113 for assigning actual sounding musical instruments to the symbols of the recognized drum part according to the drum notating method applied by the notating method applying process and the drum notating method of the drum musical instruments reassigned by the reassigning process, and a data converting process for conversion to a musical source data that can be played according to the musical instrument data assigned by the process.
