PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high thermal conductivity high grade cast iron excellent in strength and thermal conductivity and to provide high thermal conductivity high grade cast iron. ;SOLUTION: In a molten metal obtd. by melting cast iron contg., by weight, 3.6 to 4.0% C and 0.02 to 0.2% S 1.5 to 1.8% Mn, 0.2 to 0.4% Cr, ≤0.3% Mo and a rare earth metal or mischmetal are added by twice as much as the S content to form the whole face of the base into a pearlitic structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
