SELECTIVE SEPARATION METHOD OF HYDRIODIC ACID, METHOD FOR REMOVING SULFURIC ACID AND SULFATE IN HYDRIODIC ACID, METHOD FOR PURIFYING HYDRIODIC ACID AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HYDRIODIC ACID AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF ALKALI IODIDE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for economically manufacturing hydriodic acid and alkali iodides by selectively separating hydriodic acid from an aqueous solution containing hydriodic acid and another inorganic acid or a salt thereof.;SOLUTION: Crude hydriodic acid is obtained economically by an electrodialytic method using an iodine absorbing solution manufactured by a blowing-out method as the aqueous solution containing hydriodic acid and another inorganic acid or a salt thereof and using a monovalent anion permselective membrane as an anion exchange membrane. Barium hydroxide or a barium salt other than barium salfate is added to the obtained crude hydriodic acid to sediment and remove sulfuric acid or a salt thereof contained in a samll amount as barium sulfate and, thereafter, the crude hydriodic acid is refined by distillation to manufacture high purity hydriodic acid inexpensively. The obtained hydriodic acid is neutralized by an alkali hydroxide of every kind to manufacture alkali iodides easily and economically.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
