PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily position a focusing screen without detaching a substrate to which an imager is attached.;SOLUTION: A mirror unit 20 furnished with a CCD 37, which can be mounted in a camera body, is attached to a lens holding tool 12, and an adjustment chart 11 is disposed in front of the lens holding tool 12. A quick return mirror 22 in the mirror unit 20 is retracted from an optical path and the position where a contrast value based on an output signal from the CCD 37 is maximum is stored in a personal computer 45. The adjustment chart 11 is fixed in a reference position and the quick return mirror 22 is placed in the optical path. Then the CCD 37 is moved and the position where the contrast value is maximum is determined.
