PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable light control in a lighting unit using a light-emitting diode. PSOLUTION: This is a light control system 1 in which a light control signal CTL from a common light control device 2 is inputted in one or a plurality of lighting units 3, and in response to that, a lighting circuit 6 illumination controls the light-emitting diodes 4. The system is equipped with a light control circuit 13 which receives the light control signal CTL and generates a light control voltage signal VCTL corresponding to the light control level and a current supply circuit 14 which is provided in series with the light-emitting diode 4 between power supply lines and supplies a current corresponding to the light control voltage signal VCTL to the light-emitting diodes 4. Therefore, the light-emitting diode 4 can be controlled to a desired light control level by the light control signal CTL. Furthermore, the current to be supplied to the light-emitting diodes 4 can be controlled to a constant level by the current supply circuit 14, without being affected by Vf variation of the light-emitting diodes 4 or the fluctuation of the power supply voltage.
