PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably keep the posture of an upper body side bracket when being installed on a car body, and also, to surely transmit the impact force to the upper body side bracket at the time of a secondary collision.;SOLUTION: Both of the right and left sides of a middle column 52 have two pairs of protuberance sections 61, 61, 62 and 62 (ribs) in a manner to protrude sideways. A pair of the protuberance sections 61 and 61 from among them are located on the vehicle front side of body attaching sections 25b and 25b of the upper body side bracket 25.
