PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic converting device and acoustic radiation device in which a frequency characteristic and a distortion rate characteristic are improved by eliminating the resonance of components.;SOLUTION: A coil 17 is wound around the outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical part 190 of a bobbin 19, and a magnetostrictive element 11 is inserted into the bobbin 19. One end of the magnetostrictive element 11 is received by a bottom part 42. Permanent magnets 13 and 15 apply a magnetic bias to the magentostrictive element 11. One end side of an expansion and contraction transfer member 5 is connected to the other end side of the magnetostrictive element 11, and the other end is led to the outside through an opening part 411 of an outer package 4. A pressurizing member 6 is composed of elastic material made mainly of polymeric materials and is interposed between the outer package 4 and the expansion and contraction transfer member 5 to energize the expansion and contraction transfer member 5 toward the magnetostrictive element 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
