PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sensing a walk by using stepping-stones that are deployed on a path way used by an invader from a backyard to a doorway or a window, which completely detects the invaders before their invasion and accurately separates the invaders from a small animal such as a dog or cat.;SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a transparent component 2 installed on an upper side of a stepping block 1 with a form of stepping stone, a sensing component 5, disposed below each transparent component 2, having a light sensor 4 that receives a light reflected from an object stepped on the upper side of the stepping block 1, which is casted by a spotlight 3 and pass through the transparent component 2, and a unit 6 for determining whether the object reflecting the light is a human being based on information of a light receiving area, which is provided by the sensing component 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
